Miraculous Ladybug Season 4 Episode 18 Wishmaker English Dub
Marinette hands out the questionnaires she received from Miss Bustier to her classmates, who informs the class that the papers are about filling out study options when school is out. Chloé openly admits that she’ll be rich when she graduates because she already is, and mocks Marinette for being a baker, which she says is just ridiculous. Miss Bustier tells Chloé that people are defined by their choices and what they choose to do with their lives, so she asks everyone to start defining themselves. Mr. Damocles also informs the students about the Paris Expo, which will be held at various locations around the city. Meanwhile, Marinette continues to distribute the papers, blushing as she reaches Adrien. Marinette then comes up to Alya who asks her if being a superhero counts as work. They both laugh as Mr. Damocles tells the students that they should never let the context dictate their costume, they should choose their own. With these words, he quickly runs out of the classroom and returns as Owl.
But Adrien watches it all, ends up sadly looking at the career expo documents, and the scene shifts to his room sometime after that. Plagg asks Adrien if he wants to continue modeling, but Adrien explains that he only models because of his father’s wishes and he never thought about what he wanted to be when he was independent. Plagg suggests to Adrien that he could continue to be Cat Noir as his full-time job, but Adrien worries that with Ladybug constantly choosing new Miraculous mounts, he won’t need him anymore. Plagg lets Adrien know that he will always be there for him and suggests that they could open a cheese shop together. Adrien laughs at Plagg’s words and warns him not to eat the cheese if he is trying to sell it. Plagg grunted slightly, wondering if there were any cheese tasting jobs, which Adrien brings up with visits to food stalls. Finally, they both decide to visit the Paris Career Expo.
Meanwhile, Marinette discusses her complicated life with the Kwami, telling them that work is something that “gives meaning to your life”. This confuses the Kwami as they ponder all the different “jobs” Marinette currently has, such as being a guard, crafting, or being in life, until Sass tells them to shut up. Sass then asks Marinette what is really important, what will bring meaning to her life. Confused, Marinette admits that she doesn’t know anymore, and Tikki advises her to go visit some booths at the Paris Careers Expo, to which Marinette agrees.
Later on Île aux Cygnes, Alec Cataldi welcomes his audience to a new show he’s recording called “You’ve Gotta Be Kidding”. Live at the Paris Careers Expo, he plans to introduce people to the most ridiculous jobs and jobs ever. Alec first tries to humiliate André the ice cream man by making fun of the fact that he is constantly moving around Paris, making it hard to find where he is, and the fact that he chooses the flavors of the ice cream you eat. Andrè claims that people come to him to share their love and experience magical moments, but Alec still claims that it’s not a real job. After Andrè offers Alec lime flavored ice cream for his sourness outside and chocolate cinnamon for his sweet dreams, Alec balks at receiving the ice cream from André and orders the cameraman to cut the scene. The two leave, but Marinette, who witnessed everything in the crowd nearby, asks Andrè how he learned that making ice cream is his job. Andrè tells Marinette about how years ago he had a job that didn’t make him happy, but every day when he came home from work he would come up with an ice cream that suited his mood. He soon realized that if ice cream enchanted his daily life, he wondered if his true mission was to enchant the lives of others. Andrè then offers strawberry and cherry flavored Marinette ice cream “for the indecisive lady” and pistachio and pecan for the “sharp-eyed young man.” Marinette soon realized that the “young man” Andrè wanted Marinette to share his ice cream with was with Luka standing right behind them. Marinette quickly informs Andrè that she and Luka are no longer dating and are just friends. Andrè assures them that they don’t have to be in love to share his ice cream, and they decide to marry her.
Later, Marinette tells Luke that she was surprised to see him here because she thought he already knew what career he was going to have. Luka tells Marinette that he is in charge of his school’s booth where he shows people that he is a stringed instrument maker. The two arrive at Luke’s booth where guitars, electric guitars, and other stringed instruments are on display as Marinette looks fascinated and Luka grabs one of the guitars and asks Marinette why she’s here if she wants to be a fashion designer. Confused, Marinette tells Luke that she doesn’t know anymore because there are so many careers she’s interested in in the world of fashion, design, decoration, flattering Luke that she’s lucky she knows what she wants to do. Luka advises Marinette to listen to her inner voice and shows Marinette the first instrument he made himself, which took two years to complete. Luka hands the guitar over to a stunned Marinette, but Alec suddenly enters the scene and taunts Luka by stating that it would be easier to download a guitar app in seconds that he can access and master, then think of Luka’s work as pointless . Luka grabs the violin and tells Marinette, Alec and the cameraman to follow him out to Île aux Cygnes. There, Luka closes her eyes and feels the breeze as Alec and his cameraman look at each other in confusion. The cameraman begins filming Luke lifting his violin into the air so that the wind will produce music for it, explaining that “musical instruments fill space and space fills instruments”.
Alec begins to cry at the seemingly beautiful sight, but then realizes he is on air and again orders the cameraman to cut the scene. As the frustrated pair drive off, Marinette compliments Luke on his gift for finding the right words at the right time. Luka suddenly notices Adrien, far away from the two of them, sitting sadly under a tree. Luka alerts Marinette to his presence, Marinette becomes nervous and hides behind Luka. Luka asks if she hasn’t told Adrien about her feelings for him yet and she says she hasn’t. Marinette notices that Adrien looks sad and together they decide to go talk to him. Luka asks Adrien if something is wrong, he replies that he went through every booth at the career expo and still doesn’t know what to do with his life and if he won’t choose his father’s will for him. Luka sits next to Adrien, Marinette looks conflicted about who to sit next to but finally decides to sit next to Luka.
