Tikki expresses her concern about the ladybug that appeared in “Face to Face”.
On Marinette’s computer, an ad for the new TV series Face to Face plays, in which Nadja Chamack promises viewers an exclusive interview with Ladybug and Cat Noir, revealing “hot facts” about both heroes. Tikki is taken aback by the idea of revealing information about Ladybug and Cat Noir and tells Marinette that she is a superhero, not a star, though Marinette tells her not to be, as she and Cat used the opportunity to be interviewed to tell the citizens of Paris. that they will always be there to protect them. Marinette then realizes that the interview has been rescheduled for the night she also has to watch over Manon. Then Nadja comes and drops her daughter off. Afterwards, Marinette calls Aly.
Arlette threatens to cancel Nadia’s show if the ratings aren’t high enough.
At the TV 5 studio, Nadja is under pressure from her boss, Arlette, who tells her that she’d better keep her promise to attract the biggest number of viewers of the entire year if she wants to keep her show in prime time in the future. Just then, Cat Noir comes in and jokingly tells Nadje that she secretly loves chouquettes. Hearing this “secret”, Arlette continues to pressure Nadja with threats to cancel her show if her “hot information” is insufficient.
Marinette isn’t sure what to do.
Back at the candy store, Alya plays with Manon, believing that she, Manon, and Marinette will be watching Face to Face together. However, Marinette makes up an excuse that she needs to talk to her parents and that it might take a really long time. In the stairwell, Marinette is debating whether she should let Alya take care of Manon or whether she should appear in Face-to-Face. Tikki tells Marinette that the choice is hers and decides to perform on the show.
As Face to Face begins and Arlette begins to lose faith in Nadya, Ladybug bursts into the studio and sits down next to Cat Noir. Arlette tells Nadja that it’s now her job to increase viewership, symbolized by the meter on her watch that turns green based on the number of viewers. The show begins and Nadja begins interviewing Ladybug and Cat Noir. It brings up a viewer call screen with Chloé Bourgeois on the receiving end. Chloé ends up having no real questions, which causes the ratings to drop and forces Nadja to cut the broadcast short. Alya and Manon then call and Alya asks Ladybug for an interview on Ladyblog. Annoyed, Arlette pressures Nadja to jump onto her big scoop. Nadja then questions Ladybug and Cat Noir’s relationship, saying that many believe they date and fight supervillains.
The interview with Ladybug and Cat Noir begins.
While Ladybug and Cat Noir deny it (although Cat Noir hints that they aren’t a couple yet), Nadja brings in a picture of the two kissing on Valentine’s Day. Cat Noir has no memory of this, and Ladybug claims that she kissed him to save his life, not out of romantic feelings. Nadja, delighted by the soaring viewership, continues to show Ladybug and Cat Noir “romantic” shots together. Frustrated with Nadja and embarrassed, Ladybug angrily leaves the studio, dragging Cat Noir with her. With Ladybug and Cat Noir gone, Arlette cancels Face to Face, leaving Nadja unhappy. Sensing Nadia’s distress, Hawk Moth sent an akuma after her, which landed in her watch and transformed her into the Prime Queen.
Nadja akumatized.
Ladybug is still angry with Nadja and her curious questions. Cat Noir tells her that’s the price of fame, but Ladybug reminds him that they’re superheroes, not stars. She starts to leave, but Cat Noir chases after her, saying that he didn’t plan on getting home so early, and invites her out for ice cream.
Alya and Manon flip through the channels on the TV but find nothing interesting. Alya is upset that the show ended so quickly and Manon tells her that she wants to see her mother. However, as he says this, he falls asleep. Alya places her on Marinette’s bed. Just then, the Prime Queen appears on every television set in Paris and announces her plans to force Ladybug and Cat Noir to confess their love for each other. He proceeds to go through Chloé’s television, ties her up, kidnaps her, and takes her to a subway train. After scaring everyone aboard the train, Prime Queen speeds up the train and tells Ladybug and Cat Noir that they must go through the screens to save Chloé. Ladybug hesitates as it might be a trap, but Cat Noir says they have no choice, so they both jump through the Prime Queen’s large TV screen that was left open.
Chloé is disgusted by the chewing gum on her jacket.
Once there, Chloé complains to the duo that they are taking too long and that she has a jacket with gum stuck to it. Ladybug discovers Prime Queen’s akuma is in her watch and tries to grab it, but it easily gets away. He tells the two superheroes that if they want her to stop the train, they have to admit they love each other, but Ladybug refuses. Cat Noir offers to use his Cataclysm; However, Ladybug tells him to keep it for an emergency. She decides to play along with the Prime Queen and “confess” to her that she and Cat Noir are dating, causing her to stop the train. Prime Queen orders the duo to give her their Miraculouses to prove they love each other. Cat Noir comes up with an idea to prove to the Prime Queen that he and Ladybug have feelings for each other by having them kiss, although Ladybug refuses. Frustrated, the Prime Queen kidnaps Alya and takes her to the Louvre, where she is bound and imprisoned in a mummy coffin. She warns Ladybug and Cat Noir that they must give her their Miraculous or she will mummify Alya. Ladybug and Cat Noir find a screen affected by the Prime Queen and jump through it. Chloe was still tied there.
Ladybug and Cat Noir are surprised to see that they are not in the Louvre, but rather in the freezer of Le Grand Paris. Cat Noir again offers to use her Cataclysm, but Ladybug says there’s no point since they’re probably far from the Louvre and by the time they get there, it’ll be too late to save Alya. Cat Noir tries to kiss Ladybug once more, but she still rejects his advances. Prime Queen tells the duo again that they have to give her their Miraculouses, and she threatens to drop Alya underwater through the TV screen if they don’t. Ladybug uses the Lucky Charm and gets a roll of tape. She comes up with a plan to tape a pizza box over the TV screen so that they are covered, and then tricks the Prime Queen into going through with it by saying that she and Cat Noir are going to take off their masks. Once the Prime Queen arrives, Cat Noir destroys the TV screen with his staff, leaving the Prime Queen stranded with them. Ladybug unpins Prime Queen and Cat Noir breaks her watch and uses Cataclysm on the freezer door. Ladybug captures the akuma and returns Nadya and everything else to normal. Hawk Moth is upset that the Prime Queen has been defeated, but vows to one day broadcast the ending of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Ladybug and Cat Noir say “Go for it!” after winning.
Marinette goes back upstairs to her room and apologizes to Alya for being gone for so long. Alya tells Marinette about being kidnapped by the Prime Queen and Marinette says she’s sorry he’s not there for her. Alya says it’s fine, but the next time they meet, she can’t go anywhere near her parents.
Marinette and Manon watch Alya’s conversation with Nadja.
A little later, Alya appears in a conversation with Nadja about Ladybug and Cat Noir. Arlette praises Nadja for getting a high number of ratings. During the show, Alya confirms that Ladybug and Cat Noir are not a couple. Alya is then seen showing Marinette and Manon a conversation she posted on her Ladyblog. He jokingly asks Marinette if she wants her autograph, to which Marinette agrees.
