Miraculous Ladybug Season Protection Episode 16

 The episode opens with Lila sitting with Kagami in a park, relaxing and drinking while having fencing practice. When Lila receives a notification on her phone, she lets Kagami go meet the other girls. Meanwhile, the boys and Rose and Juleka are in front of the Ferris wheel in the Jardin des Tuileries, trying to help Adrien with his feelings by creating a romantic scene between him and Marinette. The girls and Nate also help Marinette with the scene with Adrien. They go over the plan and tell her what will happen. Both groups believe that the moment will be magical and Marinette and Adrien will kiss.

It's sunset. Adrien and Marinette are in the same pod in the Ferris wheel. Rose sings one of the Kitty Section songs with the rest of the band in another pod. After Mr. Ramier releases the pigeons and they fly towards Adrien and Marinette's pod which is almost at the top of the ferris wheel. They both ask if they can leave at the same time, to which the group says no. Adrien and Marinette's pod is on top of the wheel and the pigeons are dropping roses. As Adrien and Marinette exit the Ferris wheel, the group are disappointed that their plan didn't work and apologize. Marinette believes that she is the problem and runs away in tears.

Meanwhile, at the Agreste mansion, Mr. Agreste and Mrs. Tsurugi are drinking tea, and she asks Mr. Agreste why he's worried about moving the Diamonds' Ball date. He tells her he doesn't have much time left and reveals his mangled arm to her. In the kitchen, Adrien and Kagami talk about how guilty they feel about Marinette's strange behavior and how he didn't do anything to help her. Adrien realizes how to help her and Mrs. Tsurugi and Mr. Agreste overhear their conversation, they are excited because they believe Adrien and Kagami are in love. They are disappointed to find that Adrien is talking about Marinette and not Kagami.

In Marinette's bedroom, Marinette receives a message from Adrien inviting him to a picnic at his mansion. He accepts the invitation and decides to go in his pajamas. Meanwhile, Mr. Agreste and Mrs. Tsurugi argue over whose fault the baby is. Mrs. Tsurugi tells Mr. Agreste to get Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculouses before Mr. Agreste runs out of time. Adrien tries to tell his father about his feelings for Marinette and why he likes her, but his father forbids him from having any kind of relationship with Marinette. In the car, Kagami tells his mother that Adrien loves Marinette and that she is her friend. Adrien texts Marinette that she is not allowed to come, much to her disapproval.

In Nathalie's room, Adrien talks to Nathalie and she tells Adrien not to listen to her father and that he can love whoever he wants. This inspires Adrien and he texts Marinette that she can come again when she gets back to her room. When Marinette arrives at the Agreste mansion, she sneaks in and Adrien's bodyguard gives Adrien a picnic basket. Adrien notices that Marinette is wearing pajamas and changes so he is wearing pajamas too. They go outside to the garden where there are pillows, blankets, flags and food. Adrien and Marinette start playing video games. Mr. Agreste is working and hears their laughter. He looks outside and sees them playing video games in the backyard. He realizes that this is the result of Nathalie giving Adrien a counter order.

Meanwhile, Kagami and Lila are on the bench talking about Adrien and Marinette's relationship when Mr. Agreste calls Lila and reminds her that she should have been watching out for Adrien and protecting him from Marinette. He tells him that Adrien and Marinette's relationship is breaking Kagami's heart and that he is prey to the Monarch. He tells Mr. Agreste that all he has to do is wait. He hangs up and uses his manipulation skills to convince Kagami that Marinette is a lying and cunning manipulator.

Meanwhile, Monarch senses Kagami's strong emotions in his lair and agrees that Lila was right. He creates a megakuma and uses Kaalki's power to teleport the megakuma. He breaks Ladybug's magic spell and ends up in Marinette and Kagami's photo. Monarch then transfers the essence of Miraculous Protection to her by absorbing Wayzze into his ring and tapping it. Kagami then akumatizes into his first akumatized form, Riposte Prime.

As Adrien and Marinette talk about what they see in the clouds, Riposte Prime appears and creates a shield around Adrien's bodyguard as he tries to protect Adrien and Marinette. He runs into Adrien's room and Riposte punches him. She protects Adrien and goes to take care of Marinette. He creates a barricade around Marinette and frees Adrien. He then transforms into Cat Noir and goes to where Marinette is imprisoned. He uses his cataclysm on the shield and frees Marinette. She runs away and turns into a Ladybug, uses her magic and gets a bottle of olive oil.

Riposte cuts open the bottle of olive oil that Marinette throws at her. This makes the sword slippery and Ladybug uses her yo-yo to destroy it. He clears the megakuma and throws the broken bottle of olive oil into the air, repairing all the damage done during the battle. Riposte Prime is deakumatized back into Kagami and rejects the magic charm that Ladybug gives her. Ladybug and Cat Noir escape and transform back into Adrien and Marinette. She shows up and Adrien convinces Kagami that Lila is wrong about Marinette and that she is not toxic or manipulative. Kagami apologizes to both of them while crying. Adrien and Marinette hug her as she cries.

Back in the garden at the Agreste mansion, the sun is setting and Marinette is saying goodbye to Adrien. Mr. Agreste watches Marinette leave from inside, he is delighted and when he calls Lila, he is convinced that time will destroy their relationship. On a park bench, Lila apologizes for lying to Kagami and smirks deviously as the episode ends.
