Miraculous Season 5 Episode 6 Determination
The episode begins with Marinette riding her motorcycle to Collège Françoise Dupont, and Adrien is astonished to see Marinette remove her helmet with her hair down. Kagami gave Marinette the “I really like Unicorns” helmet, and then Adrien greeted Marinette, after which she departed the school. As Kagami spoke to him about something, Adrien appeared to be deep in thought. In the locker room, Kagami donned her fencing outfit for class, then noticed that Adrien was observing her artwork; however, he was gazing at the painting featuring Marinette and then showed Kagami the piece he was looking at. Kagami displayed her phone to Adrien with Marinette’s contact open, stating that he should call her and ask her out.

The following day, Marinette arrives at Liberty to meet her other friends to showcase her paintings for the band. Adrien calls her and expresses that his feelings have changed and requests to meet. Adrien informs Kagami that he asked to meet at the Musée Grévin because that’s where his feelings transformed. Marinette speaks to Luka and explains how she consistently makes mistakes when in love with Adrien. He comforts her by advising her to explore her feelings and spend time alone with Adrien. She requests Luka to accompany her so she would feel less frightened.
They gather outside along with Adrien and Kagami and meet Véronique, the museum curator. She leaves Adrien and the group to speak with Mayor Bourgeois. Adrien discusses his emotions and realizes he loves Marinette. As Kagami and Luka begin to exit the room they are in, Adrien and Marinette follow them.
Véronique meets with Mayor Bourgeois to discuss opening her new hall of superheroes. The mayor opposes the opening, claiming it will lead to more akumatizations. She counters that it will instead instill hope. He threatens to shut down the museum. Marinette and Adrien chase after Kagami and Luka, and they all end up trapped in the hall of superheroes together.
In the next scene, Véronique is heartbroken. Monarch senses Véronique’s emotions and creates a megakuma, absorbing Kaalki within the ring and harnessing the power of Voyage to teleport the megakuma to Véronique’s location. Véronique briefly tries to resist the akuma, but Monarch ultimately akumatizes her and grants her the power of the Ox, staggering as Minotaurox’s Resistance. Véronique transforms into Manipula and gains the ability to animate the wax figures and recreate the superheroes using her wax statues.
Marinette begins to feel anxious after attempting to open the metal wall, wondering if something will go wrong. Adrien reassures her that everything is fine and that he is present. Marinette confuses her words by stating that he is the issue and makes various mistakes stemming from her feelings for Adrien (including dropping all the miraculouses in the Season 4 finale). She expresses that she can’t tell him anything, to which Adrien replies, “you can tell me everything. ” Manipula crashes through the metal wall to the same exhibition where Adrien and Marinette are located.
Manipula utilizes her brochures to animate the superhero wax figures. They both take cover behind the statues. Marinette makes a break for it while Adrien stays concealed. Marinette transforms into Ladybug as the wax heroes exit the museum. Ladybug pursues them and lands on a rooftop, where she reunites with Cat Noir, who apologizes for being delayed.
Ladybug and Cat Noir confront Manipula. Manipula claims that she has resurrected the heroes and that Monarch will renounce evil, allowing the museum to once again celebrate the superheroes. Ladybug and Cat Noir attempt to persuade her to reject the megakuma and warn her that Monarch is manipulating her. Monarch then persuades her not to trust Ladybug. She holds Ladybug responsible for losing the miraculous, but Cat Noir supports her. At that moment, the wax heroes are revealed to be an illusion, and the wax statues of Rena Rouge and Vesperia execute an attack from behind; however, Ladybug and Cat Noir destroy the statues. Manipula flees. On top of their heads is a piece of paper containing every part of the megakuma. After realizing that all the strips of paper need to be destroyed to capture the megakuma, they pursue Manipula. Monarch tells Manipula that he was correct in claiming it was Ladybug’s fault for losing the miraculouses, thanks to Félix and his treacherous actions as Flairmidable. Manipula proclaims that Paris has a new superhero.
She commands the statues to team up and retrieve Ladybug and Cat Noir’s miraculouses. She enters city hall and instructs Mayor Bourgeois to open the hall of superheroes. Chloe advises the mayor not to listen to her. The mayor apologizes to Manipula, stating he cannot comply. She instructs the statue of Cat Noir to unleash his cataclysm. She menaces Mayor Bourgeois by threatening that if he does not change his mind, the wax statue of Cat Noir will destroy city hall. Meanwhile, the Minotaurox statue is following closely behind her. After defeating the wax statue superheroes, Ladybug and Cat Noir tear up the brochures and capture the components of the megakuma.
Cat Noir tries to cataclysm the remaining strips of paper, but Manipula seizes his wrist and employs Cat Noir’s powers against her. Fearing he has harmed someone with his superpower, Manipula reveals she is immune to superpowers due to Monarch granting her the power of Resistance. She hurls Cat Noir toward the Minotaurox statue as he tries to grab his ring. Ladybug attempts to save Cat Noir but is halted by Manipula. She tries to take Ladybug’s earrings but realizes a way to utilize her lucky charm and understands that Manipula is not invincible. She gets crushed beneath a chandelier, and the remaining brochures are destroyed along with the last remnants of the megakuma being captured.
Ladybug tosses her lucky charm into the air, and all the damage is reversed. Manipula transforms back into Véronique. Ladybug gives her the magical charm, and Mayor Bourgeois is persuaded by Ladybug to approve the opening of the hall of superheroes. Subsequently, she confesses her true feelings to Cat Noir. They flee and detransform.
Marinette departs to head home, waving goodbye to Adrien, Kagami, and Luka. Kagami questions Adrien if he has determined how he feels about Marinette, and he affirms that he has. Adrien thinks he is falling in love with Marinette, while Marinette believes she is falling in love with Cat Noir as the episode concludes.
