Marinette is running across the bridge when she sees an advertisement for the alliance. Tikki sees Adrien in a commercial and tells Marinette that she thought Adrien was no longer a model. Marinette explains that it's just a digitized 3-D model of Adrien. When Marinette smiles at him, Tikki says that she is still in love with the real Adrien, but Marinette denies it as she almost lost all the Miraculouses to love. As he runs forward, he sees Owl climbing the billboard to save the cat. But the cat runs away and the Owl loses his balance and his mask falls and breaks. Marinette runs to save him, but suddenly a person in a Ladybug costume appears and saves him, nearly falling. Approaching the two, Marinette identifies the unknown person as Socqueline Wang, her former classmate. But Socqueline denies it, saying she's just a superhero and runs away with Owl. Tikki asks Marinette if she knows Socqueline, to which Marinette replies that she has to buy some paint, leaving Tikki even more confused.

Marinette arrives home and asks her mother if she needs paint. She replies that she's had enough, but Marinette goes to buy it anyway. He arrives at Les Olympiades on his scooter and explains to Tikki that he thinks the other Ladybug is Socqueline Wang, her former classmate, and wants to convince Socqueline to stop taking chances. Marinette enters an arts and crafts store owned by Socqueline. The two exchange greetings and Socqueline asks Marinette about her school life. Marinette replies that everything is fine and continues to talk to her. Mr. Damocles enters the store and starts looking for a new mask. Marinette indirectly questions Socqueline about her Ladybug activities, but manages to avoid them. When Socqueline asks her the purpose of her visit, Marinette replies that she wants some paint. Using the Alliance ring, Socqueline inquires about the paint supply and Marinette expresses her amazement at seeing the Alliance ring in person for the first time. Socqueline explains each of its properties and gives it to Marinette to try out. Socqueline says it's like a dream to have Adrien to herself. Marinette replies that it's weird because there's almost no difference between this Adrien and the real Adrien.

Socqueline expresses her surprise and asks if Marinette has met Adrien. Marinette replies that she is just his classmate. She goes on to tell Adrien how she helped him confront his father about modeling and how they became close. When Socqueline suggests that Adrien and Marinette are together, Marinette denies that they are just friends, as is Socqueline, who is just helping her mother, which makes Socqueline nervous. At this point, they are interrupted by Mr. Damocles while searching for the mask. Marinette tells Socqueline that, like Mr. Damocles, he is just the headmaster. He goes on to say that no one should try to be a superhero if they don't have any superpowers. Socqueline replies that she could be a relief to Ladybug if she had help. But Marinette denies it, saying that it's dangerous and that if they put themselves at risk, it would be more risky for Ladybug to save them. Mr. Damocles thinks that Marinette is jealous of superheroes, which angers Marinette, and says that everyone should be happy with their normal lives and not try to be a superhero. This statement subtly offends Mr. Damocles, which makes him sad. Seeing her outburst, Socqueline tells her that she will help Mr. Damocles find his mask and then they can continue their discussion. Marinette goes behind the shelf and talks to Tikki about the possibility that the fake Ladybug was Socqueline. Despite Tikka's protests, she continues to inspect the Socqueline Alliance ring and finds a recording of the morning's meeting, proving that the fake Ladybug was indeed Socqueline. Suddenly, a message appears on the Alliance ring showing Nadja Chamack reporting on the flying dinosaurs created by Anne-Jeanne Théoxanne du Bocquale causing havoc in Paris. Seeing this, Marinette transforms into Ladybug and swings away while still wearing the Alliance ring.

Back at the store, Socqueline helps Mr. Damocles buy a new mask, but is still upset about what Marinette said. He says what if it does more harm than good. Socqueline tries to cheer him up, but Mr. Damocles says it's useless now. As she leaves, she gives him the mask as a gift for being the principal of Françoise Dupont High School. He leaves the store as Marinette rushes back in, greeting him on the way. Marinette explains to Socqueline that she forgot to lock her scooter. Socqueline laughs at this and asks her to return the Alliance ring. As Marinette gives it to her, it suddenly activates and congratulates Marinette for covering a hundred and thirty kilometers in fifteen minutes, indicating her alter ego's activities. Seeing this, Socqueline asks what she did with her ring. Marinette panics and says she must have messed up the controls. Socqueline believes this and proceeds to reset the settings.

Meanwhile, in Gabriel's studio, Gabriel receives an alert about the Alliance ring, so he proceeds to his lair. Upon arrival, he asks the ring what happened. His ring avatar, who turns out to be his wife, Emilie, responds that superhuman abilities were recorded on the Socqueline alliance ring, which is 135 kilometers traveled between 11:02 and 11:12. When he asks him about the latest look of Ladybug, she replies that it's from the same period. Seeing this, Gabriel believes he has found Ladybug's true identity. He transforms into a monarch and listens to the negative emotions of the civilians and finds Mr. Damocles. Satisfied with his negative emotions, Monarch absorbs Kaalki with his Miracle Rings and uses her power to create a Voyage portal to send Megakuma to Mr. Damocles' place.

In Les Olympiades, Megakuma leaves the Voyage portal and infects the mask of Mr. Damocles. After making the connection, Monarch tells him that the girl who discouraged him from becoming a superhero is none other than Ladybug. When Mr. Damocles expresses his surprise, Monarch provokes him further by saying that Ladybug and Cat Noir believe that only they have the right to be a superhero. Monarch absorbs Daizzi and transfers Jubilation's power to Mr. Damocles via the Alliance Ring. After handing over his power, Mr. Damocles transforms into Darker Owl.

At the Arts and Crafts shop, Socqueline resets her Alliance ring. Marinette tries to leave but Socqueline stops her and gives her paint. As Marinette leaves, Tikki complains that she didn't convince her friend to stop pretending to be Ladybug. Marinette replies how can she explain her without actually unmasking her? But when Tikki scowls at her, Marinette complies and returns to the store.
