At sunset, on the rooftops of the Jardins du Trocadéro, Ladybug watches the TVi channel's live broadcast on her yoyo about the heroes defeated by Shadow Moth in "Strikeback". Ladybug zooms in on Flairmidable from the recording to show Cat Noir and mentions that although she thought she gave Adrien the miracle dog, she didn't know it was actually Félix. While Ladybug goes online to find more information about Félix, a furious Su-Han appears, accusing Ladybug of failing as a Guardian because she lost everything Miraculous.
In his lair, Monarch de-transforms back into his civilian self. He tells the terrified Kwamis that Fluff is now in Bunnyx's possession, but assures them that he still has plans for the others. Meanwhile, Ladybug and Cat Noir argue against Su-Han, accusing him of not trusting them enough. This causes Su-Han to break down and apologize as his distraction with what the modern world has to offer has caused him to fail in leading the duo. Ladybug assures him that everyone makes mistakes, but Su-Han decides to head back to the temple to get reinforcements. Ladybug and Cat Noir decide to track down Félix by eating his space enhancements and turning into Cosmobug and Astrocat. While traveling, Cosmobug visits Félix's Wikipage to find out more about him; as it turned out, he was the son of an American billionaire named Colt Fathom. In the evening, she enters Félix's apartment in London and speaks with his mother, Amelie Graham de Vanily, about her son's whereabouts. Amelie claims her son wasn't home when she woke up because Félix was supposed to go to Adrien's house, but thanks the heroes for their help. As they prepare to return to Paris, Cosmobug asks Astrocat if he thinks Félix could have been a victim of the Monarch, and Astrocat replies that he is not sure. A collapsed Kosmobug says that Félix was their only clue to getting Miraculous back.
In Paris, Cosmobug transforms back into Marinette in the sewers and gives Tikki macarons and returns to her room with memories of Kwami wandering around her room. She sadly puts her sewing box with the Miracle Box inside in the dresser; after giving Tikki a reassuring smile, she finally calls Alya to invite her to a sleepover. Astrocat transforms into Adrien in his bathroom, gives Plagg a piece of cheese, then has an image of Félix telling him that they would dress up as each other like when they were younger. Realizing that he should have taken Marinette's advice to stand up to his father instead of agreeing with Félix, Adrien goes to Gabriel's studio to tell Gabriel that he doesn't want to be a model anymore. Gabriel, despite being busy, accepts without any qualms, causing a disbelieving Adrien to leave him alone.
During a sleepover, Marinette tells Alya about everything that happened and Alya tries to comfort her, but Marinette believes it's all her fault and states that she will have to try to stop loving Adrien because he's distracting her from her duties, and she did. stop now more than ever. Just then, Adrien suddenly video calls Marinette, who is afraid to answer, so Alya picks up the phone instead. Marinette tells Alya to tell Adrien he's not there, but when Adrien informs Alya that his father has given him permission to quit modeling, an overjoyed Marinette grabs the phone to congratulate him. The call ends with Adrien admitting that he really appreciates everything Marinette has done for him since he started school. Before going to sleep, Adrien realizes how special Marinette really is. Shortly after, Nathalie goes to check on Adrien, who is already fast asleep. She leaves his room smiling at him.
The next day at Collège Françoise Dupont, Alim Kubdel comes to Miss Bustier's class to announce that Ladybug has empowered him to say that his daughter Alix has been chosen as Bunnyx; she will travel back in time to protect her Miraculous and return once the Monarch is defeated. An obviously pregnant Miss Bustier assures everyone that not everyone has to be a superhero to support Ladybug and Cat Noir in these difficult times, but Mylène expresses her fear of Monarch and even Max states that Monarch is 78.95% Miraculous and it is unknown if will win. Ivan promises to protect Mylène and that she can get rid of her fears with yoga. However, Chloé counters that since Ladybug and Cat Noir won't give up their Miraculous anymore, they are putting everyone in danger and that she could help them if she was still Queen Bee, but Lila rebukes this, mentioning that everyone makes mistakes and young Ladybug, who has many burdens and obligations, should be forgiven. The whole class agrees to support Ladybug.
A montage shows the events of the next few weeks: Mylène leads her own yoga class to resist the Monarch's rule, Nora teaches Alya and Nina how to defend themselves, and Ladybug and Cat Noir do various patrols. A few days later, when Adrien tries to kiss Marinette, this time with Alya's help, Ikari Gozen appears at Françoise Dupont's and claims that she wants to destroy the old Paris and create a brand new city. Marinette and Adrien hide in an alley and a subway station to transform. Still reeling from losing Miraculous, Marinette is motivated by Alya and later by Tikki, with Tikki reassuring her not to let doubt get to her.
