Miraculous Ladybug Season 1 Episode 7 The Evillustrator
Marinette is attacked by Stormy Weather and Lady Wifi at Collège Françoise Dupont. Lady Wifi suspends her and Stormy Weather freezes her in an ice block. The two supervillains clasp hands, pleased with their success. Suddenly, a new superhero appears on the scene and uses his tablet to erase Stormy Weather's umbrella. When Lady Wifi moves to stop him, she traps them both in a box. He frees Marinette, erases the ice and the pause button. Marinette runs to the superhero and calls him "Super Nathan." She confesses her love to him and he does the same in return.
This, it turns out, is Nathaniel's imagination running wild. He draws a comic in Mrs. Mendeleev's class and Mrs. Mendeleev notices. She stops him from drawing and sends him to the principal's office, disgusted with his efforts. Nathaniel trips over Mylène's backpack, spilling his bag and everything in it, including the comic book. Chloé takes the book and Marinette mocks him and Sabrina, knowing the rest of the class will hear. Mrs. Mendeleev picks Nathaniel up off the floor and tells him to go to Mr. Damocles' office. Nathaniel takes his book from Chloé, but Chloé tears out the last page.
Sensing Nathaniel's emotions, Hawk Moth sends akuma at Nathaniel and it lands in his stylus. Hawk Moth offers him power if he gets a few things he's missing. Nathaniel accepts and becomes an Evillustrator.
Back in Mrs. Mendeleev's classroom, Mrs. Mendeleev announces the groups for particle physics research presentations. Nino, Adrien, and Alya are together, as are Chloé, Sabrina, and Marinette. Chloé complains, wanting to work alone with Sabrina, but Mrs. Mendeleev tells her to deal with it. Alya does not want to trade places with Marinette, but is willing to be Marinette's wingwoman in relation to Adrien. The class is dismissed and students wander around the school, collecting their belongings and moving to other classes.
Chloe and Sabrina are at Chloe's locker. Chloé complains about the project and decides not to help. Sabrina readily agrees with Chloé, knowing that she and Marinette can complete the project together. However, Marinette is concerned. Chloé tells her to mind her own business, but since Marinette and Chloé are part of the same group, it's her business. Sabrina explains that it's okay; they can do research and write together while Chloé presents the project, meaning everyone gets a fair share. Marinette is quick to point out that the way Chloé and Sabrina work together isn't fair. Chloé and Sabrina apparently let Sabrina do all of her homework ever since Sabrina started doing Chloé's homework in elementary school. Marinette lets Sabrina know that what she and Chloé have is not a friendship; Chloé takes advantage of Sabrina and best friends don't take advantage of each other. Chloé claims that she is Sabrina's only friend and therefore Sabrina must listen to her or she will be friendless. Marinette says she would rather have no friends than be Chloé's friend. Chloé ends the argument and leaves, deciding she has better things to do, like hair.
Marinette leaves too. Before she could go home, Sabrina stops her and thanks her for standing up to Chloé. Marinette lets her know that it wasn't a big deal, but Sabrina takes it a little too far and declares Marinette her new best friend. He goes to the library to work on a project.
In the library, Chloé and Sabrina argue about Sabrina not doing Chloé's assignment. Chloé tries to bribe Sabrina back to her side with Gabriel's beret. Marinette doesn't believe what she sees; Sabrina is easily influenced by the beret. Before Sabrina can decide if she wants a beret and do Chloé's homework, several berets fall on Chloé's head. When they stop falling, a giant hair dryer appears and chases Chloé around the library. Adrien sees this and transforms into Cat Noir. Marinette runs, hides and transforms into Ladybug.
Ladybug puts the hair dryer on and jumps on it, trying to control it while Cat Noir watches her and slaps herself about the situation. When she manages to knock the hair dryer down, Cat Noir smashes it with a stick and destroys it. They spot the Evillustrator on the second floor of the library and chase after him, but he draws a barrier and runs away from Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Ladybug and Cat Noir go to Chloé's room and try to find out why the Evillustrator is targeting Chloé. Chloé is sitting on one of her couches, defacing Nathaniel's drawing of herself and Marinette. Chloé denies any wrongdoing, declaring: "Everyone adores me." Ladybug sarcastically calls her adorable, though Chloé doesn't hear the sarcasm and takes it as a compliment. He gets excited and continues to chase the Ladybug and takes a photo of the two of them. Cat Noir just watches. When Ladybug finds the defaced photo, she storms off and tells Cat Noir to watch Chloé without her.
In her room, Ladybug transforms into Marinette and throws her purse on the couch, accidentally dropping Tikki. Marinette apologizes and rants to Tikki about how Chloé made her so angry. Tikki tells her to calm down. This leads Marinette to remember her project with Sabrina. She checks her phone to see that all recent calls have been from Sabrina. Before he can do anything about it, the Evillustrator wipes out one of the windows in Marinette's room and steps inside.
Much to Marinette's surprise, the Evillustrator is not there to harm Marinette. Rather, he just wants to see her. He attacked Chloé because she is cruel and selfish. He doesn't plan to hurt Marinette. Instead, he invites her to his birthday party on La Seine. Marinette tries to turn him down, but when the Evillustrator gives Marinette an invitation and Marinette recognizes the exclamation mark on it as Nathaniel's signature watermark, she says yes. Elated, Evillustrator leaves to prepare for the party.
Marinette transforms back into Ladybug and calls Cat Noir, preventing him from helping Chloé with her particle physics homework. Ladybug tells him that she no longer needs to protect Chloé; Evillustrator has a crush on Marinette and has promised not to hurt Chloé as long as Marinette goes to his birthday party. Ladybug tells Cat Noir to protect Marinette. Chloé goes outside while Cat Noir talks to Ladybug and tries to get him back inside to finish his homework. Cat Noir rejects her and goes to Marinette's house.
When Marinette leaves her home, she is startled by Sabrina standing in the doorway. Sabrina finished Marinette's geography homework on her friend's show
