Miraculous Ladybug Season 1 Episode 5 Time Breakear
Marinette runs up the stairs of her house to her mother Sabine. Sabine adjusts the flower in her hair and prepares the evening for the 20th wedding anniversary dinner. Tom calls Marinette down to the bakery, where Marinette reminds her father to take off his apron before he leaves. Marinette is left in charge of the bakery for the night. Her only expectation is to give Nadja Chamack an Eiffel Tower cake when she arrives in 30 minutes.

Alix gets the watch.
At the restaurant, Tom notices one of Marinette's classmates, Alix Kubdel, with her father, Mr. Ali Kubdel. The Kubdels are celebrating Alixa's 15th birthday. As a gift, Mr. Kubdel gives Alix a watch that has been passed down in their family for generations. It looks like a regular pocket watch, but it's actually a holographic watch, one of a kind. When Alix insists that she wants a watch for her new pair of skates, her father complies and gives her the watch. Alix's phone rings; they are her friends. She promised to meet them, but only after lunch with her father. Mr. Kubdel lets Alix leave the restaurant early.
Meanwhile, Marinette is in her room working on her homework while Tikki hovers over her encouraging her. Marinette reveals that Tikki is actually causing Marinette to lose focus when her phone rings. She is Alya and reminds Marinette of the race of Alix and Lê Chien Kim. Marinette has to be there, especially since she made the banner for the race. Tikki reminds Marinette of Nadia, causing Marinette to scream. With only five minutes left at the Trocadéro, Marinette sets a timer for Nadja to arrive, transform into Ladybug, and swing to the starting line.
Marinette detransforms and runs with the banner to her friends. When she opens it, she gets compliments from everyone on how well it is made. Kim points out that they made the wrong choice to root for Alix because she's not there yet. Alix rolls out on her inline skates and smiles. Max Kanté separates them and explains the rules. Both, Alix on skates, Kim on foot, circle the Place Trocadéro twice 500 feet. The first to return to the starting line is the winner. If Kim wins, she gets Alix's skates. If Alix wins, Kim won't be able to do any more dares for the rest of the school year.
The two are getting ready and standing on the starting line. Just as Max is about to yell, "Begin," Alix makes him stop, causing Kim to fall forward onto her face. Alix hands the watch to Alye, who is filming the event. Before the race begins, Alya hands it to Marinette so she can hold the phone with both hands. Holding the banner with one hand, Marinette tries to return it to Alya. However, as Nino holds the other side of the banner and cheers very rudely, Marinette loses possession of the watch. Adrien catches it before it falls to the ground. Chloé then takes the watch from Adrien's hand. Adrien tries to get it back, claiming it belongs to Alix, but Chloé doesn't care. Marinette tries to get Chloé to return it. Instead, Chloé opens her watch and drops it in surprise when it lights up. The watch rolls down the track and is destroyed under Alix's roller skates when Alix finishes in first place.
Alix only cheers for a moment before noticing the watch and turning her anger on Alya. Alya tries to explain how the watch changed hands, but Alix won't listen. Alya, Marinette, and Adrien try to apologize (Chloé blames everyone else), but Alix says they're all the same. He skates away and cries. Marinette chases after her and tries to make things right.
Meanwhile, Nadja is in the bakery, impatiently waiting outside. Nadja found no one there and calls Tom who is about to eat. He tells her that Marinette is supposed to be home and he hangs up and calls Marinette. Meanwhile, Marinette tries to talk to Alix, who is still very upset. When Marinette gets a call from her father, she storms off. While she is distracted, an akuma flies to Alix's skates, possessing her and turning her into the skating time-traveling supervillain, Timebreaker.
Tom tells Marinette that Nadja is outside the bakery waiting for her order. Marinette hangs up and is on her way to get the order until she sees Timebreaker around her.
Timebreaker races back to the students, who scatter at Adrien's command. He tags Kim so he freezes mid-run before disappearing. The bar on her right roller skate filled with two. Confused by how she managed to make Kim fade, Marinette confronts the Timebreaker and tries to convince her to stop. Timebreaker explains that she stole Kim's existence and she tries to steal Marinette, skating towards her, arm outstretched.
Marinette moves out of the way and throws the banner into Timebreaker's face as Timebreaker comes after her again. Timebreaker stumbles down the stairs and loses sight of Marinette. Hidden behind the stairwell wall, Marinette transforms into the superheroine Ladybug. Ladybug throws the yo-yo and knocks Timebreaker off his feet. Timebreaker notices Rose Lavillant and reaches out, feigning injury. Rose, being the nice girl that she is, takes Timebreaker's hand, freezes in place, and gives Timebreaker an extra minute.
Mylène Haprèle runs away from the Timebreaker, but slips and falls, allowing the Timebreaker to steal her energy, making her total time 1 minute and 30 seconds. Ladybug and Cat Noir appear to stop her. She skates towards Cat Noir but he jumps over her. Timebreaker skids to a stop to see Alya recording on her cell phone for Ladyblog and skates over to her. Alya runs but is caught. Chloé and Sabrina have already been caught.
Ladybug explains Timebreaker's power while Timebreaker finds Ivan trying to hide behind a tree. Ladybug and Cat Noir need to catch the akuma before they all disappear. Ladybug throws a yo-yom and grabs Timebreaker's arm, saving Ivan. Timebreaker laughs, pulls on the arm with the yo-yo, and successfully pulls Ladybug forward. Hawk Moth tells Timebreaker that it's time to get Ladybug's Miraculous.
