Miraculous Ladybug Season 1 Episode 15 Gamer
Marinette writes in her journal and discusses how Cat Noir almost discovered her identity in the attack that happened that day. Tikki stops her and reminds her of the presentation she has to do with Alya. Marinette grabs her phone, puts down her journal, leaves the room and heads to school.
He enters the school courtyard and hears a noise coming from the school library. Marinette goes to investigate and finds Juleka, Alix, Mylène, Alya, Miss Bustier, Mr. Damocles, Rose, Kim, Nino, Nathaniel, and Ivan watching Max and Adrien play Ultimate Mecha Strike III. Adrien's character is NAD03 and Max's is MX-01. Since Marinette has no idea why they're playing a video game, Rose steps in and explains: there's a video game competition going on between the schools. Kim says that the qualifying round that takes place in the library is to determine who should be Max's partner since Max has been training for months.
NAD03 defeats MX-01, making Adrien the number one player in the school and Max's partner. Everyone cheers, except Max, though instead of brooding, Max congratulates Adrien and looks forward to their partnership. Marinette thinks for a moment and realizes that whoever beats Max's score will become Adrien's partner. Alya pulls Marinette aside and tells her not to try to beat Max or flirt with Adrien. Marinette ignores her and asks Mr. Damocles if she can attend. Mr. Damocles mentions that the library closes in five minutes, but Marinette stands her ground and sits in a chair in front of the screen.
Adrien hands her his controller which she immediately puts to her face before hastily turning it on. Kim doesn't believe Marinette can beat Max, but Alya replies that she's motivated to beat Adrien's high score. Max tries to explain the rules of the game, but Marinette interrupts him and explains the rest of the rules. They shake hands after a brief flashback of Marinette destroying her father while playing at their house. Chloé and Sabrina stand on the second story of the library, watching, wondering how anyone could spend so long staring at a screen. Then they pick up their phones and scroll through social media.
Alya tapes the match. To everyone's surprise, Marinette defeats Max and becomes the 1st place winner. Max is disappointed because it was his dream to play in the competition and he lost his spot, but he tries to be a good sport and congratulates Marinette before leaving because he needs to be alone. Mr. Damocles congratulates Adrien and Marinette for becoming a team that went up against rival schools. Adrien says he'll come over after school to see her level. She is unfazed by what he says and completely ignores Aly's warning.
Max, on the other hand, is upset about losing to Marinette. Hawk Moth senses this anger and sends the akuma out. A butterfly landing on his glasses greets Max as "The Player" and promises to help Max win the tournament of his life if Max helps him in return. Max immediately agrees and transforms into The Gamer, surrounded by the walls of his actual MX-01 mecha.
On the way home, Tikki asks Marinette why she wanted to participate in the tournament, pointing out that there are other ways to get Adrien's attention and that her selfishness denied Max his place in the tournament. Marinette admits she was wrong, but focuses on the fact that Adrien is coming to her house. Then she pauses and realizes with horror that Adrien will be in her room, her room full of his photos. He rushes home and realizes he has time to get there. Immediately as he says this, the bell downstairs has Marinette and Tikki rushing to get rid of the pictures.
Meanwhile, the player floats through the streets of Paris in his MX-01, shooting pedestrians and cars. Every thing he shoots turns into experience points.
At Marinette's house, Adrien is standing by the stairs talking to Marinette's parents. He explains that he and Marinette will be participating in the Ultimate Mecha Strike III tournament. Tom mentions that she trained with the best, but Sabine mentions that Marinette never talked about being interested in the tournament. She then says that Marinette talks about Adrien quite often. Adrien is surprised by the treat, but he doesn't linger as Marinette steps out of her room to lead him upstairs. Both Tom and Sabine sigh in contentment as they watch.
When Marinette and Adrien first get upstairs and sit down at Marinette's computer, they both end up reaching for the same remote and recoil when their hands touch. It happens again so it's uncomfortable in the room. Adrien finally grabs one and Marinette the other. They start to play in silence for a while, occasionally glancing at each other briefly.
Out on the streets, The Gamer continues to shoot pedestrians from inside his MX-01. He will soon gain enough experience to convert the mech from level 1 to level 2 and gain legs. Moss now towers over the roads.
Back at Marinette's Marinette and Adrien are still playing the game. After a few minutes of playing, her father brings croissants. Ready to eat one, Adrien can't get a word in when Marinette quickly shoos him away, claiming they need to practice for the competition. They continue playing as Marinette's parents both look up and she turns to them giving them a stern look as Adrien turns to see what's going on. A second later, her father returns and offers cookies. Marinette shoos him away. They take a break and Adrien starts to claim that he is much better than him.
Marinette tells him she has a secret. To his surprise, she shows him the bracelet and calls it her lucky charm. She takes it and just then her parents offer quiche Adrien tells Marinette it's okay to take a little break. They travel to the Place des Vosges. When they get there, Marinette suggests they go back after eating. Adrien says he will try the bracelet on. Before they get a chance to leave, Gamer shows up and tries to go after her. Adrien knocks her out of the way and they continue running. They are separated by a bench and run their separate ways.
Adrien, knowing he's the one not being hunted, goes and transforms into Cat Noir to go save Marinette. He does this just before she is hit and saves her. When she disappears, she transforms into Ladybug after being reminded by Tikki. She gets there just in time to stop him from shooting Cat Noir.
