Miraculous Ladybug Season 4 Episode 23 Kuro Neko

 The episode begins with Adrien watching the news on his television about the latest akuma attack. Nadja reports that earlier that morning, when the Gigantitan was causing a panic, Ladybug and her team managed to save the day again, which Adrien seems upset about. News footage shows Carapace using Shell-ter to capture Gigantitan, then Pegasus using Voyage, which opens a portal towards Gigantitan's face. Pigella uses the Gift on him, which shows him his mother, causing him to stop. Afterwards, Carapace takes off his shield and Vesperia immobilizes him with Venom. Ladybug takes his bracelet and breaks it to free Akuma and deakumatize her. This causes him to detransform back to August and knock down reporter Clara Contard, but Ladybug manages to catch her. Ladybug returns August to his mother while Clara asks her about Cat Noir, mentioning that she saved Paris without him several times. Ladybug looks at her team and replies that Cat Noir is like any other partner and can save Paris with or without Cat Noir, shocking Adrien. He turns off the TV and sadly comments on Ladybug saying that "he's a partner like any other". Plagg tries to cheer him up by saying that everyone thinks ermine is a cheese just like any other, but it's actually the best cheese among the rest. He stops talking when he sees Rogercop being chased on the rooftops by Ladybug, Ryuko, Polymouse, King Monkey, and Purple Tigress. Plagg tells Adrien that it's the best time to show Ladybug that she's the best. Adrien declines, saying it's pointless. But when Plagg persuades him, he agrees and transforms into Cat Noir and goes after Ladybug.

Cat Noir goes to the rooftops to find Ladybug, but sees Miraculous Ladybug's power activate, indicating that the mission is already over. Cat Noir decides to meet Ladybug anyway. He goes there and Ryuko sees him and greets him along with the others. Ladybug instructs her teammates to go to their hideouts so she can collect their Miraculouses. After everyone else leaves, Cat Noir asks Ladybug how she is, to which Ladybug replies that she's fine, but she's busy. Cat Noir tries to help her, but Ladybug refuses his help, saying it's a guard's job. Cat Noir reminds Ladybug that she knows the owners of some of the Miraculous because she was with them when she gave the Miraculous. Ladybug points out that she does not know their rendezvous point and refuses his help for the second time. As Cat Noir continues to plead for help, Ladybug angrily tells him to go away, telling him not to waste his time. Hurt by her words, Cat Noir feels rejected by the comment and tells Ladybug that she can take his Miraculous too since she's done her job, to which Ladybug unknowingly says that it's perfect and she meets him later and swings away. Cat Noir transforms into Adrien as Plagg asks him in horror what he is doing. Meanwhile, on her way to retrieve Monkey Miraculous, Ladybug wonders what Cat Noir meant when he said "take back his Miraculous". Adrien tells Plagg that he is giving up everything, even being Cat Noir. Plagg tries to stop him, but Adrien ends up taking off his Miraculous. Ladybug makes it to the Monkey King's meeting place, where the Monkey King is seconds away from transforming into Kim, but Ladybug suddenly realizes the meaning of Cat Noir's statement and rushes back to him, leaving Kim hanging from the chimney. Ladybug arrives, but Cat Noir is nowhere to be seen. Looking down, she sees Cat Miraculous at her feet, confirming her fears. She picks up Cat Miraculous sadly. The other Miraculous holders start calling her over the receiver, so she puts the Cat Miraculous into the Yo-Yo and tells her teammates to stay in their seats and swings away.

The scene changes to Marinette's room where Ladybug is sitting on her bed with Cat Miraculous in hand, wondering what caused Cat Noir to give up his Miraculous. Plagg then blames Ladybug and tells her it's all her fault. She says she forgot about Cat Noir by going out and fighting other heroes. Ladybug replies that Cat Noir should be happy because he can have more time off, but Plagg says that Cat Noir doesn't want a break and that she broke his heart by fighting other heroes because Cat Noir is in love. her. Ladybug apologizes for this and says that she did everything she could as a Guardian. Plagg suggests that she should give him the Miraculous so that he can return it to Cat Noir and convince him to become Cat Noir again. Ladybug says that wouldn't work because she'll continue to hurt his feelings by doing her job as a Ranger and says that maybe it's time to choose a new Cat Noir to which the other Kwami in attendance gasp. Plagg tries to reassure her that this is not a wise choice, but Ladybug decides to find another Cat Noir who is not in love with her, which scares Plagg. Meanwhile, Adrien sadly cleans his room, removing pictures of Ladybug from his fencing trophies and even throwing away Plagg's cheeses and Plagg's sock. Back in Marinette's room, Plagg asks Ladybug about replacing Cat Noir, to which Ladybug agrees and is about to leave to find another holder when Plagg, worried, asks her if she knows his secret identity. Ladybug then eerily agrees, saying that if she was akumatized and if she knew his identity, Shadow Moth would be able to get both of their Miraculouses and the ultimate power would be used to transform the world into what she wants. Plagg then tells her to give him the Miraculous and he will give it back to Cat Noir, ask him to change his mind and everything will be fine. Ladybug then asks him if he can, to which Plagg says he hopes so. Back in Adrien's room, Adrien deletes the last Ladybug photo on his phone and goes to sleep.

The next day, Marinette (who is now detransformed) wakes up and finally screams in happiness, waking up the kwamis in surprise as she lists her plan: find someone anonymously who has a girlfriend and thinks Ladybug is great and is the only one who sees her as a friend and sends Miraculous in the mail, but cuts the idea as she would need to know the address and name of the person to send Miraculous to, then angrily blames Cat Noir for the situation, asking why he fell in love with her alter ego. Above her in her bed, Tikki and Plagg watch Marinette rant about Cat Noir, looking worried. Plagg then disappointedly says that she is in love with its owner (Adrien) and Tikki adds that she loves Ladybug. Suddenly, Plagg immediately comes up with a plan and shares it with Tikki, asking for her help.
