The episode opens with four dinosaurs being kept in Carapace's Shell-ter. One of them is trying to break through the protective shield. Cat Noir and Carapace fear that it will completely break and wait for Ladybug to appear. Eventually, Ladybug appears with Anne-Jeanne Théoxanne du Bocquale, who brought the dinosaurs to life. Ladybug, Cat Noir and Carapace complete the mission together. Afterwards, Cat Noir leaves while Rena Furtive hides behind a wall. Ladybug will arrive in the alley and Nino Lahiffe will take the Turtle Miraculous from him when the mission ends. Nino sadly returns the miraculous. Ladybug asks Nino why he's sad and asks why Alya Césaire wasn't part of the mission. Ladybug replies that Alya wasn't needed in this mission and Ladybug leaves after taking a miracle from Nino.

Ladybug arrives at the sewer where Rena Furtive is already hiding. Ladybug asks Rena Furtive if anyone or any Shadow Moth traps were after them and she tells her no. Both Ladybug and Rena Furtive detransform. Before Marinette Dupain-Cheng goes back, she decides to ask Alya Césaire something. Frightened, Alya thinks she might notice her new outfit. She decides to call her new outfit Rena Furtive. Marinette tells Alya that she needs to stop because customizing new clothes only serves to protect her secret identity. No one can know that Alya still officially uses a miracle, Alya listens to Marinette because she is the current Guardian of Miracles. Marinette asks Alya if she told Nino that she no longer holds the Miraculous. Alya stammers that she didn't tell Nino. Marinette reminds Alya that everyone has to believe that she is no longer the holder of the Miraculous after her agreement in "Sentibubbler".

Marinette and Alya then go to Marinette's room and talk to each other about hiding their secret identities. Alya refuses to lie to Nino about her secret identity as she tells Marinette that they don't lie to each other and share everything. Marinette tells Alya that she had to lie too, to her friend, referring to "Gang of Secrets", where Marinette reveals her secret identity to Alya. Tom Dupain arrives and offers Marinette to play Ultimate Mecha Strike III. Marinette declines her father's proposal, claiming that she and Alya are doing homework. He begins to assume that the teachers are giving his daughter too much homework and keeping her busy. Alya witnesses this conversation and Marinette explains to Alya that she even has to lie to her parents to protect her secret identity. Alya decides to take Marinette's advice. In Alya's room, Alya sadly asks Nino if she can tell him something. Nino, who was sitting on Alya's bed, gets up and asks Alya confused. Alya stutters and tells Nino that she no longer holds the Miraculous. Nino is relieved and quickly understands what the ladybug has been telling him lately. Unknown to Nino, Ladybug lied and Alya lies too. Nino then comforts Alya by telling her that if Ladybug makes this move, it's to save her life. Nino then hugs Alya by telling each other that they don't need to hide anything from each other.

At Collège Françoise Dupont, while attending Miss Bustier's class, Alya sits with Marinette and reacts sadly for lying to Nino, but Marinette tells Alya that she did the right thing and now they can hide their secrets. After school, Nino and Adrien go to Adrien's bodyguard's car. Meanwhile, Marinette and Alya had just left the building. Marinette teasingly tells Alya without revealing anything that she'll be going on patrol with Cat Noir soon and Alya will have to check if Shadow Moth decides to akumatize anyone. Alya then remembers that she took a picture and excitedly shows Marinette the selfie she took when she was Rena Furtive. It shows Rena Furtive in a pink, purple and orange suit. Marinette reminds Alya that she shouldn't post this on Ladyblog. Alya then deletes the pictures and rests her head on Marinette's shoulder, asking Marinette what to post on Ladyblog as she is running out of content. Alya then comes up with making a video about Cat Noir. Meanwhile, Nino is confused when he sees Alya put her head on Marinette's shoulder. Once Alya approached Nino, he offered to take her to the movies. Alya refuses at first, but Marinette tells her to come with him. She immediately changes her mind and immediately goes with Nino.

At the cinema, Nino and Alya watch the sequel to Les aventures de Ladybug & Chat Noir. A scene then shows Cat Noir and Rena Rouge flirting. Nino gets upset and calls it absolutely ridiculous. Alya tries to comfort him by telling him that it's just a movie for fun and that it's fiction. They continue to watch, but Nino notices Alya looking at her phone. Alya notices Nino watching and quickly turns off the phone and smiles. After leaving the theater, Nino asked Alya what she was showing Marinette on her phone. However, he sees Alya looking at her home screen again. Nino becomes suspicious of this. He then decides to offer to get an ice cream from André. They approach him and start ordering ice cream together. However, Alya notices that Ladybug is signaling that she needs her. Alya quickly leaves and kisses Nino on the cheek. Nino is sad, but notices Cat Noir jumping into the air, which infuriates him. Later, Nino sits in front of the river watching one of Aly's videos on Ladyblog, admiring Cat Noir's tricks and stunts. Believing that Alya might be in love with Cat Noir rather than him, Nino becomes very angry and upset. Nino then calls Adrien on the phone and tells him her theory about Alye and Cat Noir. Adrien laughs, refusing to believe that he can love someone whose identity he doesn't know. Adrien then says that the video doesn't prove anything and that he could be wrong in his speculations. The call will then end. Adrien tells Plagg that he has to confirm it as Cat Noir. Adrien transforms and heads to Césair's apartment.

Meanwhile, Nino creates a new view of himself as a detective. He talks to himself and goes to spy on Alya. In Alya's room, Alya hears a knock on the window. Trixx quickly hides. She pulls back the curtains and is shocked to see the appearance of Cat Noir. He then asks if everything is fine and Cat Noir says yes everything is fine. He tells Alya that he just came to tell her that he saw her video of him and thought she might have feelings for him. Alya then laughs at Cat Noir and replies that she already has a boyfriend who is better than Cat Noir. They decide to hug each other to resolve the misunderstanding. Nino sees them but doesn't hear anything and runs away crying. The next day, Adrien goes to school and notices a cluster of bubbles. Then he sees Nino who wanted to show Adrien something he has as proof.
