Miraculous Ladybug Season 2 episode 26 Christmas Special
The episode opens on a snowy night when Marinette, Alya and Manon walk into a bakery. Alya drops the coin into a collection box held by cardboard cutouts of Ladybug and Cat Noir. When she does, Marinette takes off her coat and begins to sing.
He takes a Christmas cake from his mother and almost drops it when Alya gives it to him. Alya taps her forehead and wishes her a Merry Christmas. Tom and Sabine wave as he leaves. Alix and her father arrive next, followed by Rose and Julek, Nadja (who marries Manon), Nino and Sabrina, each leaving with a Christmas diary. When Chloé and her father enter the bakery, Marinette freezes in the middle of her song. Sabine reminds her that it's Christmas, and Marinette reluctantly gives Chloé a Christmas log. They have to shout "Merry Christmas, Chloé!" at her before Chloé takes it. André also reminds Chloé to wish Marinette a Merry Christmas, which she shouts back at Marinette before leaning in and reminding her that she hates her guts.
After Chloé and André leave, Adrien's bodyguard enters and drops the coin into the collection box. Marinette runs upstairs when she realizes who it is and asks him to wait a moment. She tears her room apart looking for Adrien's present. Tikki finds it on her desk and gives it to Marinette before she can make an even bigger mess. He runs back down and out, following the bodyguard. She fumbles over her words and asks him to take Adrien's present and wish him a Merry Christmas for her. He takes it and leaves. Marinette looks at the sky and thinks of Adrien.
At the Agreste mansion, Adrien and Nathalie are decorating the Christmas tree in the foyer when a bodyguard walks in. Adrien wants his father Gabriel to decorate the tree with them, but he doesn't come, upsetting Adrien. The bodyguard hands a gift to Adrien Marinette as she sadly walks into her room.
Gabriel is in his studio staring at a portrait of Emilia Agreste. Nathalie enters the room and asks him to spend time with his son, reminding him that not only is this his first Christmas without Emilia, it's also Adrien's. Gabriel agrees to spend Christmas with Adrien and tells Nathalie that he needs a little more time. She lets him look at the portrait. He closes his eyes with a sigh, feeling remorse for treating his son.
Adrien is in his room and is angry with his father. He decides he hates Christmas. He throws away the gift and transforms into Cat Noir in a frustrated rage and leaves the room through the window. Cat Noir uses his staff to soften his landing and leaps across the snowy rooftops of Paris, singing about being a poor cat in the night. He observes the Dupain-Chengs eating dinner through one of their windows before moving on to the Bourgeois family. He ends up in front of the Hôtel de Ville and runs by the Christmas tree in front of the building. He summons his Cataclysm, ready to destroy the city's greatest symbol of Christmas out of anger and hatred, but before he does, an image of his mother flashes before his eyes and he stops. He realizes that he cannot kill something he loved. Instead, he runs to a nearby Gabriel advertisement (shown) and destroys it. He leaves and detransforms in the snow.
Plagg falls on his back in the snow and sings about how tired and hungry he is. Adrien is worried because he's not wearing any cheese. Instead, Adrien opens the present he had with him to Marinette, hoping it will help. Inside is a Christmas hat. Adrien puts Plagg on his hat and opens the card Marinette left for him. He smiles and appreciates her gift. He puts the card in his back pocket. Bells ring in the distance, signaling Christmas Day. Adrien wishes Plagg a "Merry Christmas", not realizing that the card has been dropped. Plagg wishes him back "Merry Christmas".
At the Agreste mansion, Gabriel holds a gift in his hands and goes to Adrien's room. She calls Adrien first, but starts to panic when she sees that Adrien's window is open and Adrien is missing. Nathalie and the bodyguard rush inside. Gabriel furiously yells at them to find Adrien immediately.
The bodyguard starts a search and drives off in his car. Nathalie calls the police and Adrien's classmates. Nino, while eating potatoes, says that Adrien is not at his house. Alya takes a call at her apartment and is surprised to hear that Adrien is not home. Kim has no idea where Adrien is and thinks he may have been kidnapped. Max also doesn't know where Adrien is. Roger and Sabrina search for Adrien in Roger's patrol car. Sabine and Tom put the presents away and head off to find Adrien while Marinette says she's not feeling well and goes upstairs to transform into Ladybug. He leaves his balcony.
Meanwhile, Adrien wanders Paris, alone and cold. He encounters Santa Claus and two naughty children who are rude to Santa. Children knock Santa down with snowballs. Adrien helps him up and scolds the kids for being mean. Their father tells them to apologize. Adrien hands Santa back the hat and receives a blanket and hot chocolate in return. Adrien asks Santa if he has an ermine, which Santa gives him from his sandwich. Adrien subtly hands it to Plagg, who is hiding in the fluff at the end of Adrien's hat. Santa and Adrien drink hot chocolate on Santa's sleigh, Adrien tells Santa about his family problems. Santa convinces Adrien to return home to his father and even gives him a free ride back. Before they leave, Adrien gives Santa the hat he got from Marinette because Santa's hat was soaked from the snow.
